Aaron Tellis founded The Research Lab because he believes AI should work for people, not against them. After seeing how enterprise organizations struggle with AI adoption and how smaller, purpose-driven organizations get left behind entirely, he decided to bridge that gap.
With a Master's degree in Data Science from Northwestern University and years of hands-on experience in AI Engineering, he has lived through both the promise and the pitfalls of AI implementation. His work in healthcare AI taught him that when you're dealing with people's lives and livelihoods, getting AI right isn't just important, it's everything
He is genuinely optimistic about AI's potential to expand human capabilities rather than replace them. He's seen firsthand how the right AI tools can help a small team accomplish what used to require dozens of people, freeing them up to focus on the creative, strategic work that only humans can do. But he's also watched too many organizations rush into AI without thinking through the consequences.
That's why he takes a different approach: starting with strategy, prioritizing security, and always keeping the human element at the center. His published articles and speaking engagements focus on one core message that AI should make work more meaningful, not more complicated.
When not helping organizations navigate their AI journey, you'll find him experimenting with new tools, writing about emerging trends, or speaking at conferences about the future of human-AI collaboration. At The Research Lab, every project starts with a simple question: "How can we make this technology serve the people who use it?"
